周时人﹐也写作飞子﹐善养马。周孝王召使主养马于汧水、渭水之间。后封于秦今甘肃张家川东﹐为周的附庸﹐邑之秦﹐使复续嬴氏祀﹐号曰秦嬴﹐是为秦始封之祖。周时人，善御马。周孝王召使主马，于汧渭之间，马大蕃息，封为附庸，邑之秦，使复续嬴氏祀。号曰秦嬴，是为秦始封之祖。
非子居犬丘，好马及畜，善养息之。
